1964...

This morning I went out to find my shoes and saw this:

Let's take a closer look:

I think I'll blame this on my cousin BayLee. She prompted me to get these shoes because she talked about how comfy they were.

Awww...Hi, little guy!

It's kind of an odd thing to find in a garage so I decided to look around and see what else my Dad had in there.

Oh look! It's a...It's a...Um...

I have no idea what this is.

And this:

Oh, you know everyone needs a little of Uncle Josh's Pork Frogs in their garage.
No lie this has been in my parent's garage as long as I can remember. At this point I'm thinking about putting my name on the bottom because I'm kind of getting attached to it.

My Dad's old Boston Whaler.

He bought in in 1964.

He was making $32 a week and thought he had hit the big time.

I bet he had some pork frogs in the boat with him.

But hopefully not real frogs because, come on, how cute are they?

Pic # 4 looks like something out of a Dr. Suess book. Need to figure out what that is. My guess something to do with hard to reach electrical stuff.

    1. I asked - it's a tool used to retrieve fishing lures.

  3. Looks like a cattle prod to me. I quite like the shoes... I had a similar pair in the 80's, but without the colourful little design. Very comfy shoes if I remember rightly.
