War Eagle from the cheap seats...

Though it pains me to admit it my days of being a season ticket holder to Auburn football games are oh, so over.

Because of this, Saturdays in Auburn can be fraught with angst as I nervously watch my husband try to negotiate for tickets.

Well, they can be fraught with angst and fraught with bad seats.

However, I've learned that beauty can be found in the bad seats. Several years ago we ended up purchasing tickets on Row 1 of Section Nine. To say it was a wee bit hard to see the action on the field would be a bit of an understatement. The action off the field though? We had that in the bag.

Bad seats or not, here is what we could see:

The Tiger Pause.

The jumbotron.
Thank goodness for that because it's the only place we could see the plays.

Tiger? Nova? Spirit?
The Eagle, okay?
And yes, I know right now someone is googling it to find out which one it is and is going to blast me in the comments.

The band.

And really as long as we had plenty of this:

The kids were quite happy.

Heck, I was just happy to get off my feet.

New sneakers and Auburn's campus are not the best of combinations.

"Really, Mom? Pictures of your feet on the Internet?"

Shut it kid. Just go back to enjoying your over priced, watered down Coke.

One day I'll have season tickets again.

Until then...

    1. I have to admit it really is cool when the wagon comes out. So until they play each other I can be a Sooner fan all the way!

  3. Washington Huskies v Oklahoma in the (I think) Orange Bowl in the 80's sometime. Washington leading - Oklahoma scores and the Sooner Schooner comes out and rolls around and gets a 15 yard penalty. My wife jumps 15 yards in the air cheering for the refs. UW wins. Go Huskies. Not to mention Boise State.

  4. War Eagle from Corner, AL!! My dad is Alumi & he usually gives me his season tickets around game 2 or 3 because he has good intentions to go & then gets wrapped up in something else. If he does it this season I will be glad to share! There will only be 2 tickets but the seats are usually really good! If you want to email me close to season feel free Heather.Welshans@gmail.com
