Seriously, can we please come up with a better word than 'blog'?

And can someone please tell me whether the question mark should go inside or outside the quotes because I always thought the question mark went inside but now it kinda looks funny like that.

Its going to be a short Jane Random tonight because its 'Date Night."

Not naming names but somebody doesn't think I should take my laptop on a date:

In the past four years there have been two things that have gotten me on planes:

a National Championship game.
