Nerves so not of steel

Dear Readers,

Something kind of big happened to me last night.

Oh, it didn't change the world or anything...

But...

It sure made my little world a little sweeter.

We are in Arizona.

And the reason we are in Arizona is for this little game:

The BCS National Championship.

To people that have lost their minds and have no perspective on whats really important...

ahem...moving along...

...it was a really big deal.

A nerve wracking, cardiac inducing deal.

People deal with stress in many different ways.

I have what Freud would call an "oral fixation"

Speaking of Freud:

Did you know that pretty much all of Freud's theories (including the 'oral fixation' one) have been disproven by modern psychology?

Its true.

Anyway, it just means I really like to chew things.

Its really gross, actually.

It gets much, much worse when I am nervous.

So as I said people deal with stress in many different ways.

Some go into a catatonic state:

Some drink:

As for me?

I chew things:

Shakers, for instance.

And ice.

And straws.

And I obsessively put on lipstick.

And this?

This is my pinky before the game:

This is my pinky half way through the game:

The color was too young for me anyway.

But in the end.

A win:

And pure bliss...

And then the sweet sleep of the undefeated.
