Oooh! Oooh! Blog Readers! How can I not have told you this already? Here goes: The big news is that I've lost twenty five pounds since I started the whole Whole 30 thing. So...that's a pretty big deal around these parts. And by 'around these parts' I mean around our apartment. Really, just in my section of the apartment because the kids could care less.
So, for thirty days I had no wheat, sugar, dairy or legumes. I lost twenty two pounds in that month. The next week I did a good bit of cheating and still lost three pounds. SO, I'm just going to keep going and see how it goes.
Billy and I went to the Melting Pot to celebrate. They asked us what we were celebrating and we might have lied and said our anniversary. Losing twenty two pounds sounded a little odd considering the amount of chocolate we were about to consume.
Oh, the Melting Pot...How I love thee.
I'm also loving all these pears we picked in the country.
"Hey you! Out of the picture! We're picking pears here!"
The trees were absolutely loaded down...
...And so was my car after the visit. We went to Scott's Apple Orchard later in the week and got lots of apples so my Mom has been canning all week. I haven't quite gotten around to it but I have high hopes for tomorrow.
Oooh! Oooh! More good news: I'm leaving next Thursday for the Allume blog conference in Pennsylvania!
Oooh! Oooh! A couple more good things! I've got a big giveaway on the blog tomorrow and most importantly...
...Drum Roll Please...
Melanzanella, my laptop, is fixed! I took it to Mac Resource, a local business, and they were able to fix her right up.
So, happiness all around.
What about you, dear readers? Anything good with you?

We went to the melting pot last Thursday to celebrate the kids getting good grades. When I was a kid I got KFC once for good grades. My kids are spoiled.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the weight loss - that is super encouraging to hear and quite inspirational! How in the world have you made it so long without sugar, wheat, AND dairy? I think i could give up any one or two, but all three...that's tough!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is awesome! How in the world did you find anything you could eat? I would like to know more about that. And I am so super happy that Mac Resource was able to help you too. They are the best and when I do finally have to buy another laptop, I am buying from them. They have kept mine running for me for 5 1/2 years. Good week for you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your weight loss and your willpower. You 'da woman!
