First, A quick welcome to the visitors from Kelly's Korner. AKA Jane Random is a daily blog and just my little attempt to make whoever reads it smile.
Today's post is about how my attempt to be cutesy with my husband in the bathroom shower ended in mayhem.
Cutesy: it's just not our thing.

Just a little FYI...
When you find the toddler's bath crayons on the floor of the unrenovated shower:
And you decide to use them to write old song lyrics on the walls* for your husband to find:
Like this:
And this:
You should probably use the blue crayon and not the red.
Because the red...
Well, it kinda makes it look like a serial killer wrote on the wall.
Oooh! Oooh! Wait! Rabbit Trail!! One night back in college we went to see the Sigourney Weaver film Copycat. It was about a serial killer and was very scary. I went to see it with Rupert and his best friend. On the drive home his blasted car broke down! We had to walk a mile to a gas station at one in the morning to use a pay phone!
So, the red crayon isn't the only villain in this story. Rupert's car is too.
"It's vile slander, I tell you! I'm a good crayon!"

*And yes, I do know we have quite possibly the ugliest shower color ever.
What can you say? The house was built in 1970 when goldenrod was super hip.
** The lyrics on the wall are Hank Williams junior's song Blues Man

Love the cute crayons. Probably not a good idea though to scribble on the walls... my boys would take it as a green light to redecorate the house!
ReplyDeleteGood point! We've had enough trouble with the littlest finding markers and writing all over the walls!
