We went to New Orleans in February.
It was fantastic.
And weird.
And wild.
But mostly fantastic.
One of the crazy things about New Orleans is Jackson Square.
It's this big ole open air square where people engage in everything from art work to live performances to telling fortunes.
One of the stranger things we saw was this:
Oh, look.
It's a cute little Transformer.
Maybe I could pet it?
Great Scott!
It's a person!
Wow.
I mean...
I guess that's one way to pay the rent.
Jackson Square is also where I got this done:
I'm all about some Henna on my hands now.
I would totally do it again.
I steered clear of the fortune tellers though.
I had this weird accidental palm reading once in Manhattan and it soured me on the whole fortune teller thing.
Well, the bad experience and the whole "don't consult fortune tellers" bit from the Bible soured me on it.
But, the Bible totally doesn't mention getting your picture taken with Transformers so I totally did do that!
Score!
Don't you just love New Orleans?
How did I miss this post?! Michael and I are headed to New Orleans this Thursday!! I don't think I've ever been in more serious need of a break than right now...please tell me what we MUST do! I don't think I'll be collecting many beads, though.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sharon! That's high praise coming from a fellow blogger!!! Hmmm...NOLA.
