It's not that early...

Here is the deal with Family Camp:

It's tiring!

I mean it's super relaxing in that there is a crazy amount of childcare and no cooking and hammocks but we stay up very late.

So, we're at Kanakuk Family Camp this week.

We arrived here on Saturday and the first thing we did was look at out schedule for the week.

When we saw that breakfast wasn't until 8:30 everyday we were shocked.

We both said "We're going to be starving by 8:30!" and "How will we hold the kids off from eating!"

Oh, how wrong we were.

Here is what the reality of 8:15 looks like:

This is not the face of a boy who is ready to get up.

This is not the face of a boy who is ready to get up either.

I'm not even going to show you what the baby or Billy looked like.

So far everyone in the family has been sleeping in past eight every day except me.

Why are we so tired?

Excessive oversize chess playing?

Our new favorite sport - picnic table jumping?

Impromptu dance sessions?

The Kauai 500?

Too much putt putt?

Or is it the water slides?

Could be the jumping pillow.

It probably is the milkshake drinking.

I don't know.

All I know is that this morning I told the minions to get up and get dressed and they said:

"Can we please get room service this morning?"

Now, to my knowledge they've only actually had room service twice in their lives but apparently once is all it takes to make you some sort of room service aficionado.

This is the look I got when I told them they don't do room service at camp:

The farther in the week we get the more bed head and pajamas I see at breakfast.

So, hey it's kinda like home...
