Sunday afternoon we had Christmas with my Mom's people. Shrimp, Spinach Dip, Summer Punch - ya know, the usual Christmas fare. The littles were out playing when we began to hear loud shrieks from the front yard. An investigation was clearly neccessary.
What could be behind that shrubbery?
A snake, that's what! A snake, in December! What's wrong with this picture - well, besides there being a snake in it? I mean, I want to believe that on October 1st snakes pack up their bags and retreat to their little snaky houses where they stay well away from people until May 1st. Thats the deal, snakes! I do not want to see you in December.
Some preliminary attempts were made to capture the snake.
I'm not sure what would have happened if the snake had been captured. Ya know: Merry Christmas, Here's a snake just doesn't really sound right does it? But I guess when it's 70 degrees on December 9th you just gotta take what you can get.
