Population 28, Part 1

According to the 2000 census the town of Natural Bridge, Alabama has 28 people. So...if you live there you better not get any ideas about dying or moving away. They need all the people they can get.

The town of Natural Bridge is located 17 miles away from Double Springs. Now, I know you all are thinking:

"Oh, Double Springs! Of course I know where that is!"

*Crickets chirping*

Okay, the truth is that Natural Bridge is in the middle of nowhere. However, that's not an excuse not to go there because that place rocks!

According to ye olde sign here Natural Bridge Park is home to the longest Natural Bridge east of the Rocky Mountains.

It cost $2.50 per person to get in. Well, it costs $2.50 for everyone over the age of 7. Total Bargain. Seriously, this place was awesome.

The Creek Indians lived here for years and years and arrowheads and pottery are still being found.
Not sure what James is 'raising the roof' about but what can you say.

It was an absolutely gorgeous place to wander around. The trails are well maintained and easily walked.

Well...easily walked for most people. For some people the trails are a little tough.

Its all very vexing for toddlers.

Thank goodness for brothers.

In the places where the light shone in through the rocks it was really beautiful.

The water formed these crazy patterns in the rocks.

At least, I guess it was the water.

Does anyone know for sure?

I know what wasn't formed by water and that was this:

I have a strong opinion about people that carve their initials in trees.

I don't mind that they do it. What I mind is that there is no update on the status of the relationship.

I mean, sure in 1973 J and B were hot and heavy but what about now?

I demand an explanation!

I also demand an explanation for why you haven't been to Natural Bridge.

Go forth and google and then go!
