Histrionics...

Last weekend we skipped down to Gulf Shores from Fairhope and had a super nice day on the beach.

Well, super niceish.

Turns out certain little ladies do not like the sand or the water; or really anything to do with the beach at all.

We were subjected to her histrionics, nee Tantrums, for an hour until this happened:

Twenty minutes of blissful beach time while she slumbered in the sand beside me.

And then a dang construction crew began making enough noise to wake the dead.

You couldn't have asked for a better beach day.

It wasn't too hot and there were lots of shells to look at.

No jellyfish or sea weed sightings.

There were sister in law sightings.

Why is writing in the sand so fun?

The beach was just a few hundred yards away from Gulf State Park.

This picture concerns me, though. See that pier in the background? They catch sharks off of it all the time.

Hey kid, maybe you should swim a little closer to me and a little farther away from that pier.

It's giving me histrionics.
