Braggy Britches...

So, not to be all braggy britches but we kind of had an epic weekend a while back.

Through an incredibly generous gift we were able to spend the weekend at Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN.

Oh, La! What a time.

It was amazing.

And I feel bad even writing about it because it was such a once in a lifetime oppurtunity.

But, whew!

What an opportunity.

Let's see...

What did I like best?

The bathtub!

Okay. Here is the deal with the bath tub: The problem with whirlpools is that you can't read while the bubbles are going. Now I'm not a 'just sit and relax' kinda gal. I mean, I do plenty of relaxing but I need to have a book with me at all times. Well, when the bubbles are going your book gets wet, but not at Blackberry Farm! Oh no, there you can tell the bubbles only to hit your feet thus leaving you able to read without getting your book wet.

Maybe it wasn't the bath that was the best though, maybe it was the fully stocked fridge!

Here is what my bag looked like when we left:

Country come to town? Maybe.

Oooh! What I liked best was S'mores at night!

They had this amazingly huge and inviting fire every night with all the fixings for S'mores.

No, no, no. What I definitely liked best was dinner in the barn!

Best.Dinner.Ever.

And how about the amazing cottages!

Check this out:

Oh, we're just looking at this artwork on the wall...

But wait! It's not art work!

It's a screen to hide the TV.

Sheesh. Only at Blackberry Farm.

Seriously, I could write twenty blogs about Blackberry Farm.

I could, but then I'd feel guilty about how amazing it was.

I'd probably be so overwrought I'd need to go take a bath.

And darn it, I don't have a whirlpool tub.

  1. According to my wife i am the only person in the world who reads books in the shower. I wish i had a more accurate shower head - it gets my Kindle screen wet!
