I went to see The Lorax tonight. I'm actually in the theatre right now.
Yep. Just me and the Lorax. Well, me, one teenager and four minions.
Before the movies we took the kids to see my Grandmom. Today was the five year anniversary of my Granddad's death. He and my Grandmom were married for a million years.
Or something like that.
We took a pic before we went in. As usual everyone's kids look well behaved except for mine.

Hey, hey! Look at the littlest saving face for me.
She loves her some Great Grandmom. She also loves that baby on her back.
Good grief! Look at the size of my nephew. He is now taller than me!
He is definitely taller than a Lorax.
Alright, that's about enough inanity for the night.
I don't want the manager to come and get me.
Oooh! Oooh! Rabbit Trail!
When I was a kid my parents were always threatening me with the manager. In movies, restaurants, and stadiums I just knew the manager was waiting to swoop down and grab me if I didn't behave.
The fear still lurks.
As does my nephew over my shoulder. I mean, as does my nephew above my shoulder.

It wasn't your "parents". It was your mother!!! And if you don't get your feet off the back of that seat, the manager really will come get you.
ReplyDeleteI find it physically impossible to see a movie without putting my feet up.
DeleteJulian the 4yo is terrified of "the manager" anywhere we go it's an awesome tool in my bad parenting toolbox. Jackson could care less though ("If he comes out here I'll just knock his head off!"), I didn't know anyone else used that, sweet!
ReplyDeleteJohn Rosemond recommends blaming things on the doctor so he would probably recommend blaming things on the manager too.
DeleteI saw good parenting!
My parents told us to blame them when we needed an excuse to get out of peer pressure situations.
