Now I don't know this for certain but I'm pretty sure that aliens designed the Wal-Mart in Salt Lake City.
We flew into Utah this afternoon. At the rental car company we were told that renting a car seat would be $50 a day. A day!
So, we decided to make a little trek down to Wal-Mart to buy a seat.
Now about those aliens...
Work with me here: The store was two stories with a parking deck. We entered through the second level and went down an escalator. As we traveled down I wondered how I was going to get my cart up the escalator.
It turned out that I didn't need to worry about it because there was an escalator for the carts.
Yep, an escalator for the carts.
You just pushed your cart into a turnstile thingy (turnstile thingy...my writing really just keeps getting better and better) and cart went up a special conveyor belt.
My cart just casually wandered up the escalator beside me.
It was crazy talk I tell you!
Aliens are clearly the only ones who could have come up with this system.
Well, aliens and the people that think it's okay to charge $50 a day for a car seat.

How much did a car seat cost? and what are you going to do with it when you return home?
ReplyDelete$20. I'm always in the need for another.
DeleteAll the creature comforts. Here in the provinces I usually have to drag my cart up stairs under one arm, baby and pram under the other!
ReplyDeletePlease excuse me while I FAIL to feel sorry for you! You live in Italy!
