Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
"No one can make you inferior without your consent."
At least I think she said it.
I googled it and apparently it's attributed to her but there isn't any super firm evidence for it being her quote.
So, I could be wrong.
That's okay, right?
I mean, what's wrong with me not being sure?
You look it up if you think it's so dang important!
Can I just rabbit trail here and say:
Did anyone else notice how grumpy everyone was today?
I think everyone stayed up a wee bit too late.
This morning I sat across from a Dad and his kids in which the Dad said these things, among others, to his them:
What are you, a moron?
Your apology isn't enough!
Can't you try to be more like your sister?
It wasn't just him though.
Two people got huffy over those big comfy chairs at Barnes and Noble and then...
And then...
Blast it. I can't think of what the third time was.
Okay, back to the Eleanor Roosevelt quote then...
So, she once said:
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
I thought about that quote today when we went to Panera for breakfast and I saw this sign beside the microwave:
At least I think she said it.

"If it seems like we're hiding this microwave we are.
We just think that microwaves and restaurants aren't a great combination.
In fact, it wouldn't even be here if we had our way but we know that from time to time you might just want to heat something up."
Dang, Panera.
What's up with all the guilt?
Are you trying to make me feel inferior because I like a hot croissant?
What's wrong with me heating my croissant up?
I mean, that's pretty much the most passive aggressive sign I've ever seen at a restaurant.
Um...it might be the only passive aggressive sign I've seen at a restaurant.
Oops. Do I sound grumpy?
Oooh! Oooh! I remembered the third occurrence of grumpiness I witnessed today.
There was a gentleman today complaining very loudly that:
"The worst thing about living in the South is how no one knows how to pronounce anything!"
Dude was seriously mad about it!
Oh, well.
Everyone is entitled to a bit of grumpiness now and then.
I bet even Eleanor Roosevelt wasn't immune to it.
