Whew!
I'm barely making it tonight.
Just an hour and a half later and I would have missed a day of blogging.
Yes, the world as we know it would have come to a screeching halt.
Tonight we are going to learn about a little thing called:
Anisocoria.
Anisocoria is the latin word and medical term for unequal pupil size.
Apparently one in five people are walking around with this business.
How do I know this?
It has a little something to do with this child:
As you can see by the tubes and what not behind her we were in the ER.
This morning she hit her head pretty hard and tonight as we were putting her down to bed we noticed her pupils were dad gum different sizes.
So, of course we were a little...concerned.
We popped over to the ER and had the doctor check her out.
She actually ended up getting a cat scan.
Different sized pupils after a fall does not for happy doctors and nurses make.
But she was fine.
Apparently she is just one of the one in five that has anisocoria.
We just happened to notice it tonight because we were looking for it after the big fall.
Crazy, huh.
So...
If you've been concerned lately due to a lack of Latin in your life I was happy to help you out.
Let's all say it again:
"Anisocoria"
"That's a big word."
