Okay...
So 'This Week in Quotes I Hate' isn't actually a regular topic but I thought it sounded catchy.
Ya know what doesn't sound catchy?
This quote:
"It's not secondhand smoke that kills, it's secondhand thought."
Um...
Um...
No, actually I think it is secondhand smoke.
And what's so wrong with secondhand thought?
You know who was an original thinker?
Freaking Hitler.
Man...
Somebody is in a cranky mood tonight.
Er...that would be me.
The oldest minion has a book report due tomorrow and we remembered it about ten minutes after I had put him in bed.
So, I'm now sitting on the couch while he asks me questions like:
"How do you spell intelligent?"
And I grumpily shout back:
"Just write smart!"
It's all fun and games until somebody forgets to do a book report.
We did have a pretty killer weekend though.
Friday night in Huntsville we had date night and ate at the new restaurant in Bridge Street called Watercress and I had this little bit of heaven:
It was called Smore's Bread Pudding.
It was called Smore's Bread Pudding.
"Hello, lover."
It was unbelievable.
Saturday we went to get a Christmas Tree.
We actually bought one off a lot this year which I kind of hate but it was the only thing we had time for.
I'm a cut the tree down kind of girl.
Good gravy, the blog is boring tonight...
Wandering through the Christmas trees...
Awww....
Brothers rock.
Moms are good too.
Tonight we went to the Botanical Gardens to see the annual Galaxy of Lights.
The kids were released from their monstrous harnesses, er...seatbelts, and got to roam free in the car.
A good time was had.
Until we got home at least.
"See this look on my face? It's the exact opposite of the look on my Mom's face in an hour when she realizes Jamie hasn't done his book report."
So, the quote I really hate this week is:
"Book Report DUE MONDAY."

ARGH! Worst feeling ever. Except for how he would have felt if he had gone to school tomorrow without it. That would be even worse than staying up and having your mom yell at you about it. Book reports should never be due on a Monday. How is that for a quote?
ReplyDeleteRight on, Emily. How is that for a quote?
ReplyDeleteI hope your guy wasn't up until the time of your last comment, Paula! Now that would make me grumpy for sure! Hope you have a great week of quotes you love!
