Jiffy Pop.

Alright...

When I say Jiffy Pop what comes to mind?

The movie 'Scream' right?

Stinking 'Scream.'

If you never seen it there is a very disturbing scene that involves Jiffy Pop and Drew Barrymore.

I don't 'do' scary movies well.

I used to have a 'one scary movie a year' rule.

Sheesh. What's up with all the apostrophes in the blog tonight?

That ended when I chose 'The Ring' as my scary movie of the year.

After that I was done with them.

You can laugh but I don't even like the Haunted Mansion at Disney World!

What a chicken.

Anyway...

I saw the movie Scream when I was in college.

For the record, I begged the group to choose something else that night.

Begged I tell you!

My cousin Rusty made me go.

After the initial scene with Drew Barrymore I got up and walked out.

Rusty...

Er, I mean Russ, that's what he goes by now that he's all grown up.

...followed me out and said "yeah, you're not going to be able to go back in there are you?'

Unfortunately, I was able to go back in there.

You can bet that I made use of the free police escort system that night on the way back to the dorm from the parking lot.

That movie ruined Jiffy Pop for me forever.

Fortunately, my kids have never heard of the movie Scream.

So they were all about some Jiffy Pop last time we went to the lake.

A watched Jiffy Pop never pops.

Or maybe it does.

Either way we were able to eat our Jiffy Pop in peace.

Unlike poor Drew Barrymore.

What about it kids?

What's the scariest movie you've every seen?

AKA Jane Random

  1. Psycho and Jaws. I have a friend with a permanent lump on his ribs from where my elbow hit it when the head came up through the hole in the bottom of the boat.

  3. I can vouch for the Haunted Mansion. Last time we went to WDW together, Billy and I had to ride it together!!!

And The Ring still scares me just thinking about it.

  4. Leatherneck, Prepare for this: I've never seen Psycho! Crazy, huh.

Holli, I've got a funny story about Halloween - I'll blog about it later. I agree it's terrifying!

    Billy, No comment.

Laura Lee, I had forgotten that!
