Auf dem Bauernhof to you too...

This was apparent today during worship at church.

At our church the older kids are supposed to worship with their parents and then go to their classrooms.

Today, though he asked if he could skip worship and head directly up to his class.

I told him no.

Before worship my friend Judy gave an amazing testimony about some things God has been teaching her lately.

It was so good.

But...

Half way through it the eight year old asks again:

"Can I please go up to my class."

This is what then occurred:

I wrote 'listen' on my hand.

He then wrote 'no!!!'

I gave him a 'you did not just write that' look.

He looked really guilty and wrote 'sorry.'

Then he proceeded to draw little people all over my hand.

Unregenerate. Little. Punk.

Judy was totally bringing it too!

He should have listened.

Speaking of listening I should have paid more attention in German class* because look at what I picked up at a yard sale Sunday:

'Auf dem Bauernhof'

I have no clue what it means.

It's a little velcro the animals in different spots toy book thing.

Well, I really showed off my grammar skills in that last sentence didn't I?

Anyway...

So, this toy...

Apparently it was written in German but:

Made in Thailand.

Then eventually purchased at a yard sale in Alabama for a two year old girl.

Then stolen by her 6 year old brother:

And that was the house that Jack built.

Or something like that.

"He stole my book?"

"Ha Ha! He plays with toys for toddlers!"

Look at that smile.

The eight year old isn't the only unregenerate soul I have around here.
