A Gormless Quote...

Hey, look!

It's a new word for us all to learn!

Gormless.

I've only ever seen it in Fantasy novels. 

As in:

"Eldrene! Stop conversing with that gormless troll and help me with this spell!"

I think I'll start using it.

It's a synonym for stupid.

See I was going to title this blog: 

An asinine quote

However, some people:

"Yeah, it's me."

Feel like asinine isn't a very nice word.

So, I had to use ye olde synonym.com to come up with something that meant asinine. 

Hence the word gormless.

So...

 I've been all about Pinterest lately. 

If you haven't seen it its a website that lets you 'pin' cool stuff you find on the web and put it on virtual bulletin boards. 

The majority of stuff you see on there is really cool.

However...sometimes I see quotes and pictures and diatribes that really just make me think:

"Wow. That's asinine gormless."

For instance, there's a quote that's been going around on Pinterest lately that I really just don't agree with. 

Here it is:

"May the dreams of your past be the reality of your future."

Um...no. 

Seriously, I've had some nitwitted (Hey look! Another synonym for stupid!) dreams in the past.

I mean, I really don't even need to be in charge of my future. 

For instance:

When I was this age I wanted to own a Showbiz Pizza Parlor

And when I was this age:

I wanted to run a car wash with my cousins. 

And when I was this age:

I wanted to join the Peace Corp. 

And when I was this age:

I wanted to marry Tim McGraw.

Or something like that.

So, I really can't be trusted with what's best for me. 

And I think that sentence is grammatically incorrect. 

I wish the reality of my future included better grammar. 

For now though, it's just a dream
