On the last...

We used to visit this tiny country church out in...um...the country.

It was called Sulfur Springs Baptist and it was as Baptist as Baptist could be.

The people were so sweet and super friendly.

They sang all these good old gospel songs and the music minister would always say "on the last" after the second verse so we would know to skip the third.

That poor third verse.

It's always getting the boot.

So, I now present to you:

"On the last"

Dirt Cheap, part three.

Just to get us all up to speed Dirt Cheap is a store in my town, and maybe yours, that sells things for uh...dirt cheap.

Things like this:

Tee shirts with really bad theology on them.

Faith is for the strong?

What an asinine statement.

Oh, wait.

Maybe it's some sort of Faith Hill reference.

Maybe it was a free tee shirt with her perfume or something.

Alright tee shirt, you're forgiven.

And how about this:

No, Kim.

It's really not.

Or this:

So...

Apparently 'Zach' bought this water gun...

Then put his name on it with a Sharpie...

And then decided he didn't want it and returned it forgetting that he had already put his name on it.

There was probably a 'Zach's Mom' somewhere in all this.

This kinda reminds of my cousin Laura Lee.

However, there was this one time she had good luck.

See, she went to a store and bought a wallet.

When she got home she realized the wallet had $40 in it!

Apparently, someone got it as a gift and didn't realize that it had money in it and returned it because they didn't want it.

She thought about just keeping the wallet with the money in it.

But then she decided she needed to return it.

I think her Dad advised her on this.

I think I did too.

So, she took it back and told them to call her if no one called to claim the cash.

No one ever called.

It still makes sense though...ill gotten gains and all that.

Although, he probably doesn't shop at Dirt Cheap like me.

I can't imagine why not.

I mean who wouldn't need a water gun with the name Zach on it?

AKA Jane Random
