So, sometimes people ask me why I don't post recipes on my blog.
I think they ask me this because they are used to reading real blog's like
or
The main reason I don't post recipes is because if I did they would probably look something like this:
Hi folks!
I'm so glad to get to cook for you today.
Cooking can be tricky.
But if you'll just follow your recipe exactly you'll find yourself cooking fabulous things like this in no time!
This particular recipe has been passed down through...
the back of the box.
I cook it almost everyday and always get rave reviews on it!
Step one:
Always use the finest ingredients.
Step two:
Grip packet and tug slowly.
Step three:
Pour contents in bowl.
Step four:
Fill measuring cup with 1/2 cup of 'stock'.
Step five:
Using your finest pot boil the stock.
Step six:
Pour stock into the bowl and then stir.
Voila!
See, with the proper care anyone can make this difficult dish.
"Um...Mom. Even I know that's not a real recipe"
"But I sure do love Dinosaur Oatmeal!"
Get my drift?
On a happy note, dear reader you'll be glad to hear I found the missing waffles.
They were hiding in the ice maker.
Along with an entire bag of loose chocolate chips.
What's that you say?
I didn't tell you about the case of the missing waffles?
Perhaps it was because it was just too painful to talk about.
A blog with frozen waffles and instant oatmeal?
I'll never be able to hold my head up in the blogging community again.*
On a technical note I've made commenting on the blog easier.
Now you don't have to sign in or read a word or submit a blood sample or anything.
So...go ye therefore and comment.
*I have no idea what or where the blogging community is.
HaHaHa! Looks like one of mine
ReplyDeleteI'm not so concerned about the missing waffles. It's the loose chocolate chips I'm VERY curious about! :)
ReplyDeleteMy children grew up on homemade Kraft Macaroni and cheese. I heard Skip say the other day, "It's just not right for them to change the box." And always remember, the best stuffing is Stovetop!
ReplyDeleteI have no clue about the chocolate chips! They've been shooting out of my ice maker for a week. I finally cleaned out the ice maker and they were all in there!
ReplyDeleteAW - You'll never convince Mom of that!
I am definitely going to give the Dinosaur Egg Oatmeal recipe a try!
ReplyDeleteThese blogs make me happy. Great way to end my day! (and as a side note, since Michael and I started eating well back in February, any recipe I posted would pretty much be "grill the meat and steam the veggies in the microwave". Done. I, too, will avoid posting recipes. Ever.
ReplyDeleteI know the suspense will kill you..."anonymous" a.k.a. Sharon
ReplyDeleteSharon - You gave yourself away with the healthy eating and the Michael comment!
