Italian parenting...

...is way cooler than American parenting.

My primary example is this:


It was a puppet show. 

It was adorable. 

I hope a little wooden boy wasn't locked up in the back.

The reason it was so dark?

It started at 9 o'clock at night. 

NINE O'CLOCK AT NIGHT

Can you imagine trying to start anything for kids in the states at 9?

There would be a mutiny.

No one would come. 

Ya know, what though?

The little Italian kids were happy.

They ate gelato and smiled. 

I smile when I eat gelato too. 

This was in the town of Santa Margarita. 

Its on the coast. 

My theory:


If these are the views you look at every day you don't care if the dang kids stay up late. 


If you can walk to places like this:


and this


and this...

Bedtimes can slide.

What do you think patron saint of Santa Margarita?
